RALPH A. DOWELL, Esq President and Executive Director Patent Attorney Ralph A. Dowell has a B.S. in Civil/Chemical engineering from the University of Maryland. He has over 35 years of Intellectual Property experience.  He joined the predecessor firm in 1972 as a research specialist and became a patent agent in 1974. Ralph received his J.D. degree from the Potomac School of Law of Washington, DC, and became an attorney and member of the bar in 1979. He is currently a member of both the Virginia and Georgia State Bars. In addition to drafting hundreds of patent applications and thousands of responses, Ralph has substantial experience in patent litigation matters, IP counseling, and opinion work.
